I Swapped my Brother on the Internet

by Jo Simmons

Everyone has dreamed of being able to get rid of their brother or sister at one time or another – but for Jonny, the dream is about to become a reality with SiblingSwap.com! What could be better than someone awesome to replace Ted, Jonny’s obnoxious older brother?

But finding the perfect brother isn’t easy, as Jonny discovers when Sibling Swap sends him a line of increasingly bizarre replacements: first a merboy, then a brother raised by meerkats, and then the ghost of Henry the Eighth! What’s coming next? Suddenly old Ted isn’t looking so bad. But can Jonny ever get him back?  A hilarious tale of wish fulfilment gone wrong that every child will relate to.

I think that this book is a weird but exciting to read. He has had many brothers such as a merboy,a man raised as a meerkat, Henry 8 ghost, a normal brother who is always energetic and places bets, a secret brother who was actually a girl who pretended to be addicted to the Xbox so she could be swapped and figure out who is behind all of this website, an identical brother who lies and steals from shops and he goes to a warehouse which smells like fish and tries to find his old brother ted. He gradually finds… Read more »

I think this book is a very exciting and interesting book. My favorite part was when he found out he could swap his brother on the internet as well as all of the other brothers he got. I find it very exciting that he gets a mix of different brothers. The story has lots of twists and turns,he goes to a ware house to find his old brother Ted but he ends up going on a run all over until he eventually finds his brother.

A funny book for kids. Jonny swaps his brother Ted on the internet but it doesn’t turn out quite as he expected it to. By Ethan Pugh.

This book is very funny and it has lots of strange characters but it is still very funny to read. He has lots of brothers and here are some of them a merboy , a man raised my a meerkat and a henry the eight ghost and so on. The best bit is when he finds out that he can swap his brother. This book is fun and a joy to read, It’s a great book.

I would swap my brother on the internet if I could. Can I?

I think this book is a very funny book because it is full of mischief like when Pete-pip breaks the window and Henry uses the yoghurts to distract the dog from the gang of brothers . I also like it because there is a twist at the end . All together the book is really funny.

I enjoyed reading this book, it was quite funny and all people with brothers could relate. No matter how annoying your brother is, don’t swap him!!! Keelia

I think that this book was good because they kept swapping brothers but he got a brother that was actually a girl and I also like the bit where he goes to find the werhouse and it smelt like fish and he found out his friend was running the company and that his brother quisis him if he was a good enough brother

I highly recommend reading this it is funny and exciting. All his brothers were weird and unique and that is what makes the book so interesting to read. My favorite brother was probably Mervin because he was a merboy. I also liked Pete-pip who pretended to be a boy but was actually a girl that put on an act to be addicted to the xbox that was very funny. I rate this book 5 stars because there was a website where you could swap your brothers and sisters.

This book would be absolutely fantastic for readers who love humorous books. The best bit, is when his energetic brother is being taught how to ride a bike by Jonny, the main character. This book is an amazing book and I would recommend it to anybody. Nathan

I have just finished this book I think it is brilliant. The story line is daft and crazy in a good way and I couldn’t put it down. I have no brothers or sisters so found it very interesting! The concept was just so great! I would 100% recommend this book to anyone.

Surprisingly, compared to the other spellbinding books that I’ve read, I didn’t find this one as good as the others. I think that the brothers were swapped to many times in terms of ‘I swapped my brother on the internet’, and it was also a bit weird too. However, the best part about this book was probably the happy ending (which I shall not mention), and my favourite character would have to be Mervyn the merboy who eventually saves the day.

This is very surprising! The ending was unexpected but I am glad Jonny found Ted! I think this is funny and people who like Grandma Dangerous would enjoy it. The brothers were loyal and I thought they were helpful. My favourite character was Ted because he was good at forgiving Jonny and was a kind older brother. The brothers were strange: a merboy, a boy raised by meerkats, a boy who thinks he is the best at everything, Henry the VIII’s ghost, a boy who is actually a girl wanting to find out how Sibling Swap works and an identical… Read more »
