Sky Dancer

by Gill Lewis

Joe has always loved the moorlands, the wilderness, the freedom, the wide open space. But since his father died, everything has changed, and the moors are no longer a place of refuge.

Now the whole community is divided over the fate of the hen harriers that nest there – and Joe is stuck in the middle.

Can Joe find the courage he needs to protect the Sky Dancers?

What a lovely book. I liked it because it was an inspiring book that made me really experience the emotion of the characters.

I agree with the person from Caldew (Hi!) It was good but a bit fast, however that might just be because I read it quite quickly.

I’ve read them all as well, my favourite would either be ‘I have no secrets’ or ‘and then we ran’

oh I hated ‘and then we ran’, it had to be one of my least favourite books this year along with ‘phantom limbs’

Awesome story line, really loved it! I really felt as if I was there. I feel that it could have had a better ending though because it left me with a few questions

It has a tragic story-line which compels the reader to come back to this book and delve into the complicated emotions and feelings of the characters in this amazing book

I really enjoyed this book as it was set in a rural part of Britain, this fits my reading style well. Though a lot of people who have also read this book say it is rushed, and it misses and skips lots of what could have been developed. Tell me about what you think, this is in my top three at the minute!

This was a really heart felt book as I could feel the emotions of the characters and felt as if I was there. I would give this book a 8 out of 10.
